The concrete mixer has mixing vessel with mixing blades held on horizontal shaft. These blades are of equal length and the mixer can be used for making a variety of concrete mixtures. The mixing vessel has a drum (4) coaxial with the shaft (3). The drum shell (14) encloses the mixing blades (17) with a very limited spacing. The blades are arranged at an angle to the radial direction. Additional blades (20) are fixed on the shaft at smaller radius than the first mixing blades (17). The additional blades are arranged at opposite angles to the first one.
