The thermometer has a two-part case. A liquid column is movable in a capillary on a scale attached to the case and there is at least one ferromagnetic temp. indicating element movable by the liquid. There is a magnet strip behind the scale and mounted on a support to hold the temp. indicating element. There is a release device by which the magnet can be removed from the temperature indicating element against a spring pressure. The case lower (1) and upper (2) parts are movable relative to each other and operate as the release device for the magnet strip support. (6).
