In parent patent, a lay-flat hose woven from plastics yarns or strips is coated on both sides with overlapping layers which are folded onto the sides along the longitudinal edges and theremo-welded or bonded to the sides. In this addn., >=1 layer is formed with longitudinal edges of increased thickness, the edges extnding along the folded sides of the lay-flat hose. Used for mfg. sacks. Sacks are air-tight along the folded edges, the thickened portions preventing folded weft yarns from piercing the layers.
