The moving swithing contact is formed by an electrode with a permanent current contact (4) and an arcing contact (2), cooperating with a stationary electrode. The latter has an annular arcing contact (3) and a permanent current contact (5) in the switching path. In front of the arcing contact is mounted a pressure contact providing resilient making of the contact system. The permanent current contact (5) of the stationary electrode is formed by sector-shaped, resilient section. The arcing contact (3) of this electrode consists of several sprung, rod-shaped contact elements. the distance between the permanent current contacts and the arcing contacts is sufficient to protect and the permanent current contact against light arc effects. The stationary electrode permanent current contact is partly covered by a cap against the moving switching contact.
