<p>The combustion monitor with special fouling preventers is basically a standard light sensitive unit with an emitter (10) and a receiver (11) at the ends of tubes projecting coaxially from opposite sides of the uptake (1). However the tube cooling air inlets (15) have flap valves (16) preventing any flow from the uptake. Also, in each tube between air inlet and uptake there are baffles (7) with a central hole (8) of substantially smaller dia. than the tube. These baffles are pref. cone shaped, with the apex towards the uptake.</p> |
