The process is for making a wire cluster anchorage for use in concrete structures, with the ends of the cluster passing through an anchoring unit and held firmly in place in it by annular wedges. A cluster is made from a number of individual parallel wires, all of equal length, wound together, their number determined by the anchoring unit to be used, and only the outside end of these is lifted out and stretched. This is set on the stretched ends of the wires of the anchoring unit, terminating in a common plane, the wire ends being keyed in advance. All the wedges may be pressed simultaneously into the anchoring unit, together with the wires which they enclose. Work is simplified, with no special skilled labour required on site.
|
