The plate spring assembly is partic, for use as a motor vehicle friction clutch, the spring bearing against a pressure plate over one radial area and being supported over another by a further component such as a clutch housing. There are tongues on the spring, formed by recesses. A number of components (10) of vibration-damping material engage with the spring (3). They can be mounted on the spring and pass through it between the tongues (5) via slits (6), being mounted in the radially outermost portions (7) of the slits, which are wider. The components can be pressed into place, and/or held in position in a compressed state. |
