The conveyor transports tyre blanks arriving irregularly, from a feed conveyor, at regular intervals to the grabs of a hanger conveyor carrying them through a spray booth etc. A roller conveyor delivers to a roller track with stationary roller spindles, the rollers being driven except at and end section. The driven portion of the roller track incorporates a centering device, and the end section a lifting table raising the tyres for engagement by the grab. - A mechanism (22) at the end of the roller conveyor (1), causes the blanks to be transported at faster than the normal speed, and in front of this end portion is a second mechanism (13) by which the action of the conveyor is interrupted at regular intervals over a length equal to the blank dia. - The end of the roller track (30) nearest the conveyor and where the rollers are driven is divided into two sections, in which rollers are mounted in pairs in an arrow patterns with the points towards the conveyor. The lifting table (43) is mounted at the other end of the track, underneath the transfer point to the hanger conveyor grabs.
