1299920 Sliding clasp fasteners LIGHTNING FASTENERS Ltd 26 May 1970 [4 April 1970] 25064/70 Heading E2S [Also in Division D1] The subject matter is substantially identical to that of Specification number 1299913 but the claims are directed to a sliding clasp fastener comprising two stringer tapes of waled structure with two rows 3 of interlocking elements attached to the respective tapes, the tapes being formed of substantially longitudinally running wale-forming threads with holes provided in the tapes for insertion of sewing needles. The rows of interlocking elements incorporate supporting strands 10 and are stitched by sewing threads 2 passing through the inter-wale grooves 9. The two fastener tapes 1 are connected by a connecting thread 7 which is severed after attachment of the interlocking elements.
