<p>A cam acts on a rod fixed to a headlamp and rotated by a worm-and-pinion driven by an electric motor. A rotary switch is driven in synchronism with the cam, being connected in the motor circuit and being operated by a selector switch. The rotary switch comprises a disc having two electrically-conducting zones separated by insulation. The disc cooperates with contact blades connected to fixed contacts of the selector switch. Relays determine the direction of rotation of the motor. The separate zones may instead be formed on the cylindrical surface of a drum carried on the shaft.</p> |
