The frustoconical insert pot (10) has, in its side wall (11), a longitudinally directed indent (18) which is outwardly open. The indent (18) is covered by a C-shaped covering (19) with a clamping sleeve (20) formed on the underside. The water-level indicator can be clipped into the clamping sleeve (20). The water-level indicator is formed by a transparent upper part (33) with a radial web (34). The upper part is used as guide sleeve for the indicator ball (42) of the indicator rod (41). The rod is fastened in a plug-in sleeve of a float (40). The float (40) is guided in an axially movable manner in the lower part (30) of the water-level indicator. A plug-in sleeve (36) on the upper part (33) can be pushed into the lower part (30) as far as the stop collar (35), as a result of which upper and lower parts are connected in a sealing manner. The invention permits a water-level indicator to be fitted on the insert pot after the filling and plants have been introduced, without damaging the plants. <IMAGE>
