Rope hoist for use with ladder - has removable extension piece bend enabling materials trolley to pass up and over roof slope

The rope hoist is used with a ladder to raise materials up to and over the roof level of a building. The ladder has stand-off legs for resting against the wall and is joined to the roof ladder by a removable extension piece (3) in the form of a bend. This extension piece has curved upper tracks (32) and sockets (31, 25, 26) connectors each end. A vertical plate (33) reinforces each side and locates wings (2) which act as protectors. The rope from the floor mounted winch to the materials trolley is guided over an adjustable pulley (9-14) in the centre of the bend.
