<p>The servo-assisted braking unit for motor car has a servo-motor, e.g. an electric motor (15) whose auxiliary force can be interrupted when the vehicle is stationary. In order to achieve this, a vehicle movement sensor is provided in the form of a centrifugal switch, tacho-generator (36) or rotational direction switch. Thsi sensor controls the energy supply to the servo-motor. Where a tacho-generator is fitted it generates a voltage as soon as the vehicle moves. This voltage is rectified in a converter (35) and then opens a transistor (34), which cause current to be supplied to the electric motor. The tacho-generator is connected to the vehicle's drive shaft by a flexible shaft (31).</p> |
