<p>The level indicator for a vehicle fuel tank employs a casing (12) formed by a metal plate (14) and a plastics shell (16), secured to the fuel input line (10). A metal bar (18) with a rectilinear section is pivoted relative to the casing (12) and carries a float (24), with the oscillations of the float bar (18) being dampened by a damping cylinder (28). The base of the plastics shell contains an insulating band around which a resistance is wound, with the end of the float bar (18) projecting into the casing (12) having a sliding contact cooperating with this resistance. The pivoting of the float bar (18) is limited by a stop carried by the casing (12).</p> |
