Combined tube descaling and rolling tool - has head hydrostatically supported by pumped oil and roller arranged behind tool head

The tool consists of a head (2) on which cutters, for e.g. descaling the bore of a pipe, are mounted and a second head around the circumference of which a number of rollers are mounted with their centrelines parallel to the centrelines of the tool. A number of oil pockets (9, 12) are machined in the descaling head which provide hydrostatic support for the head. The oil pockets are connected by supply channels (7) and choke bores (8) to the oil supply. The rolling head is connected to the descaling head by a coupling which can take up misalignments between the two parts.
