The load bearing slab is assembled from prefabricated components resting on upright supports. The load bearing surface, resting on three or more supports, is divided into individual part slabs corresponding to the numbers of supports. These parts are mutally supported, and cantilevered towards the centre of the load bearing surface, each slab section being rigidly connected only to one support sited diametrally to the centre point. Individual supports may be extended upwards to storey height, with top ends forming supports for a cantilevered roofing slab.
