<p>The overshoes (1) for professional cyclists are pulled over sports shoes, and consist of layers which insulate the foot against wet and cold. They each consist of leg parts (1a, 1b) sewn together, and a sole. Detachable fasteners at the back (1c, 1c', 1d, 1d') do up the shoe. Rectangular cut-out sections in the sole pass around the metal tread strips of the sports shoe inside. The inner lining of the overshoes is made of waterproof material. The heat insulating layers are made of glass wool or similar material. Ventilation holes (1f) are in the upper of the overshoe. The fasteners can be of the sliding-clasp of press-stud type.</p> |
