Electrical socket which makes dust-tight, waterproof connection - has a sleeve pref. of silicone rubber extending between body and (polyurethane) cap

Between the body of the socket and its cover is a sleeve, which forms a dust-tight and waterproof seal both for the socket's electric cable, and between the socket and the item plugged into it. The sleeve, which projects forward beyond the socket and which has a thickened edge. The item is made by first moulding the sleeve on to the body of the socket, and then moulding the cap over it. The sleeve is pref. of silicone rubber, the cap of foamed polyurethane.
