The clutch has a support mounted on one rotatable element and several friction pads mounted between the support and a second rotatable element. Cams on the support contact the friction pads, centrifugal force acting on the friction pads to engage the clutch. The cams act on the friction pads after their initial engagement to wedge them between the support and second element. The clutch is disengaged when the couple transmitted by the clutch exceeds the transmission capacity between the friction pads and the second rotatable element. |
