Automatic connecting pin insertion into coil-formers - uses cut pins aligned in tube at whose end they are inserted into press ram bore

The pins (3, 4), which are to be inserted into a plastics coil-former, are cut and arranged one behind the other in a tube (2). At the tube end the pins are inserted in a bore of an impressive plunger (1) in the inserted direction. After the plunger has moved across the inserting direction, a pin is moved by gravity in a retaining channel (10-15) of a holding device. The channel is at this instant located in the inserting position. then the impression plunger is again moved transversely to the inserting direction and moved in this direction to effect the pin insertion. Pref. the plunger starting position of the plunger coincides with its position for moving in the inserting direction. In its rest position, the plunger may be spaced from the coil former (16) more than the pin length.
