<p>The external driving mirror is adjustable by remote control about two orthogonal axes. Two electric servo motors with a reversible control are linked to the control joystick, with the drive to the mirror by direct crank linkage. The servo operates directly and with a minimum of vibration and noise. The direct drive does not suffer from stretching and wear as do cable drives. The power supply to the motors passes through three cables, using a common return. The whole drive control is compact, with only low torque motors required.</p> |
