The mounting arrangement (17) consists of a module with sloping sections (23, 24). Hand tools (13) are mounted in holes in the sloping section. The slope of the sections is arranged so that the tools are mounted at a convenient angle e.g. 45 deg.. Elastomer rings (42, 43) are mounted on the holes to protect the tools. Several electrical hand tools which would be required for a particular assembly operation are mounted next to one another on the module. The module can be made from sheet material which is bent into a Z section. A lip (21) which is provided at one end, can be used to support the module.
