The unit furniture system comprises a series of assembly parts which can be fitted together in any combination wherein front frame members (3) are provided as the connecting elements between the side parts (5, 6) and the outer front fascia members (2). These front fascia members (2) can be detachably fitted to the front frames (3) for easy replacement when changing the style of the furniture unit. Each front frame (3) can be connected directly but detachably to the corresponding rear wall element (10) to form package for easier transport to the place of use. Where drawers are to be provided at the front a retaining plate can be provided which has bores to serve as a template for easier assembly.
