1506113 Separating and feeding sheets GRAPHA-HOLDING AG 12 July 1976 [12 July 1975] 28909/76 Heading B8R Sucker 22, or a second sucker operating alternately with sucker 22, pulls the edge of a sheet to be fed into recesses in rotating feed wheels 12, so that it is engaged by projections 27 at the edges of the recesses and forced downwards to be grasped between the feed wheels and roller 9. After that the rotation of the feed wheels pulls the sheet out from below the feed pile. The sheets leave the feed wheels as a shingled stream, and may be pulled apart by passage of the stream between accelerator rollers. The sheets may be fed to the pile in an initial shingled stream by means of a conveyer belt, so that the apparatus acts to manipulate the sheet stream. |
