<p>1506244 Winch drive MANNO KOGYO CO Ltd 30 Oct 1975 [1 Feb 1975 8 Feb 1975 17 May 1975 20 May 1975] 44975/75 Heading B8 [Also in Division F2] A spare tyre carrier comprises a casing 1 which rotatably supports a shaft 5 having a handle-engaging portion 3 at one end thereof, an eccentric 4 secured to the shaft 5, an externally toothed gear 9 rotatably mounted on the eccentrio 4, a chain wheel 6 rotatably mounted on the shaft 5 and having an internally toothed gear 8 integral therewith and meshing the toothed gear 9, and a plate 11 secured to the gear 9 and being connected to the casing 1 by means of a pivoted link 13. A pilgrim-step motion of the internally-toothed gear 8 takes place. A chain 7 runs over chain wheel 6 and supports a spare tyre holding device 7<SP>1</SP>. In a modification, the plate 11 is connected to the casing 1 by a pin 16 and an arcuate slot 17. Alternatively, a pin and slot connection may be provided between the gear 9 and housing 1. In a further modification, rotation of plate 11 is prevented by its engagement with the casing 1, Fig. 11. Another modification is shown in Fig. 12 in which a straight slot 17<SP>1</SP> in a plate 11 engages a pin 16 extending from casing 1.</p> |
