PURPOSE:In a continuous process for producing terephthalic acid, useful as raw material for polyesters, by oxidation of p-xylene with oxygen in liquid phase in the presence of a cobalt catalyst and an accelerator of aldehyde series, higher product purity can be achieved by using raw materials in a specific ratio in a specific reactor under a specific reaction condition. |
