Fireproof sheets with supporting slats to protect polystyrene tiles - involving mechanical support for positive anchorage

Ceiling slabs of expanded polystyrene are protected on their lower face by sheets of fire resistant material (plaster) secured by wooden slats which fit into slots in the underside of the polystyrene slabs. The sheets are supported by subsidiary slats nailed through into the slats in the slabs. The slats are pref. long enough to bridge the gap between beams which support the ceiling.
