The electricity meter comprises a stator and a rotor consisting of a disc mounted on an axle in two minimum friction bearings. A braking magnet has at least one pole adjacent to the disc. The meter includes a mechanical nonmagnetic device preventing the disc coming into contact with the pole or the braking magnet when it is subject to eddy current displacements.
