<p>A non-toxic and non-corrosive prod. which can be used to replace cutting oils used in the machining of metals and metallic alloys, is in the form of an aq. soln. contg. (i) a non-toxic surface-active prod. which is an alcohol amine of formula N-(ROH)3, where R is hydrocarbyl radical; (ii) anti-corrosive additive(s). This prod. is also nonflammable, practically odourless, and has negligible foaming effect. it allows a redn. in the resistance of the metal to the machine tool, which reduces wear and tear on the tool, increases productivity, and ensures an appreciable saving in energy.</p> |
