The suction mower comprises a cutter which also chops up the grass and which is attached to an arm capable of pivoting in all directions. The cutter housing (4), which covers the cutter tools at the top, is connected to the end of a suction pipe which moves according to pivoting of the arm. The cutter tools consist of vertical counter rotating drums (6) with free-cutting impact blades (9, 10) rotating at different heights: the blades operating at higher levels protrude radially beyond those at the lower level. The cut grass is thrown into the centre of the cutter mechanism where it can be extracted with low suction.
