The device for hydrophonic culture without circulation of liquid, comprises an impermeable container (1) provided with a mesh partition (2) having an absorbent layer (3) with depending wicks (4, 5). Blocks (6, 7, 8) of spongy permeable material permit the penetration of roots of plants. The container is formed with an aeration vent (11) defining the liquid level and keeping a layer of air (10) between the reservoir of liquid and the mesh partition supporting the blocks of synthetic material. A sighting slit in the container permits observation of the liquid level and the wick depending into the liquid. A filling orifice and tube are provided.
