<p>The machine sorts tiles to lie same face up and places these onto a belt conveyor for later packing. The unsorted tiles (1) pass down a central chute (8) and between two flat bristle brushes (9, 10). These brushes are driven by a motor (14) and reduction gear (15), each brush moving in the opposite sense. Each tile is gripped between the brushes and the unglazed surface (3) having a higher coefficient of friction, determines the direction of movement. The tiles emerge on one side or the other to slide down a chute (16, 17) onto the conveyor belt (30). One chute has its curve reversed relative to the other.</p> |
