<p>The system brings a number of spinal column sections which have moved out of the normal position into a desired position, by applying a fixing plate or clasp with a centring hole against each section. A screw is then inserted in each section via the hole, and having a transverse aperture through the head, accommodating a tension rope whose end is shapes so as to be clamped on the drilling of the first screw head. After the rope has been passed through each aperture the adjacent screw head is pressed towards that of the preceding column section and crimped onto the rope, moving the sections towards each other and to the spinal column axis. Before insertion of the rope in the apertures, which are inclined to the spinal column, one end of a number of repositioning tongs is fitted in each, so that each aperture accommodates one end of two adjacent tongs.
