The open hearth type stove connector piece has a cowl above the combustion chamber, discharging into a square opening leading to a chimney. It has a flange (1) whose external dimensions are those of the chimney, and to this flange a short section of round pipe (4) is joined. The OD of the pipe is such as to fit in a chimney, while on the inside it joins onto a square opening in the flange, whose dimensions correspond with the cowl portion round the discharge opening. Mounting bolt holes (5) can be provided in the flange, in which there is a square opening, joined by sloping wall sections onto the round internal walls of the pipe section.
