The apparatus shown comprises a conveyer 20 which moves upper shoe components of P.V.C. plastisol coated with an inked design of the same material through a first heating station 14, a second heating station, 16 and a cooler 18. The station 14 incorporates ceramic heater elements whilst the station 16 has a heated cylinder 46 forming a bite with a presser roller 48 the hot cylinder being resiliently and adjustably mounted, covered with a heat shield and having a 'mould' release agent applied thereto. |
