METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MEASURING, ADJUSTING AND CONTROLLING AMOUNT OF FIBER MASS FLOW FLYING

PURPOSE: To accurately measure the quantity of a fiber aggregate flow in a spinning preparation device at the location where the flow is generated by measuring the negative pressure received by a recoiling member or the positional deviation of the member when fibers come into collision with one side face of the member. CONSTITUTION: One end 1a of a recoiling member 1 formed as a measuring plate is supported by a rotary link 2 provided at a fixed position 3. The member 1 is inclined downward at a prescribed angleθ. A pressing spring 4 supported at a fixed position 5 is provided on one side face 1c of the member 1. On the side face 1c, a inductive position sensor 6 is provided and the sensor is connected to an electronic processor 7. A fiber aggregate flow A1 comes into contact with the side face 1d of the member 1 at an angleα(about 20-80 deg.) from the top side and becomes a fiber aggregate flow A2 after the flow A1 is recoiled by the side face 1d at an angleβ. Because of the collision, the member 1 is deviated in the direction shown by the arrow C against the spring 4. The deviation is detected by means of the sensor 6 and an electric signal is supplied to the processor 7. After collision, the member 1 is returned to the original position by the returning force of the spring 4 after swinging in the direction shown by the arrow B.
