<p>Disclosed herein is a stocking envelope having an improved sealing arrangement provided by a pair of stripes of "bimodal adhesive" laid down wet during initial envelope formation to join the glue flaps of the envelope to associated major envelope panels. Subsequently, portions of the dried stripes of "bimodal adhesive" are reactivated by heat during envelope closing to seal an overlying closing flap to a major panel through special apertures formed in the glue flaps.</p> |
