PURPOSE:To make a display on a screen easy to see and to improve the display quality of the screen by coloring the external frames of individual liquid crystal display elements chromatically. CONSTITUTION:The display screen 10 has picture elements of red 13, green 14, and blue 15 arranged in delta array and black stripes 12 are constituted between the picture elements. Further, a metallic frame 11 which holds the liquid crystal display elements 9 becomes a non-display part when viewed on the whole and the part of the metallic frame 11 is colored chromatically, e.g. in brown. Therefore, when this device is viewed at such a distance that colors are mixed, the brown frame 11 is color-mixed with the display screen 10 to make it difficult to see the contour of the external frame 11 clearly, so the external frame 11 becomes inconspicuous. Consequently, the display screen becomes easy to see and the display quality can be improved. |
