<p>1472355 Retractive switches; snap-action switches AMP Inc 16 May 1975 [24 July 1974] 20765/75 Heading H1N An electric switch assembly comprises a printed circuit board 1 for carrying switches 10 at locations 30 to 36, each switch comprising a resilient contact strip 12 supported spaced from the board 1 by a leg at one or both ends and a push-button 70 projecting through an aperture in a cover 77. The legs may be bifurcated and with a slot 45 at each side defining upper and lower shoulders engaging conducting pads 4 on respective surfaces of the board 1 when the leg is pressed through a circular hole 5, as at locations 30 to 33 and 36, or the legs may have curled-up tabs defining the shoulders and pass through rectangular holes 15 as at locations 34 and 35. The strip 12 is formed with a central downwardly extending embossment (60, Figs. 2 and 3, not shown) coated with a noble metal, and each switch may also include a contact block 52 with a leg at each end pressed through a circular hole 6.
