<p>Plant is used for the continuous washing, etching and drying of boards, esp. for mfg. printed circuits, where the washing or etching zone is followed by a drying zone using air nozzles. At least one zone consists of a vertical stack of horizontal conveyor belts, and the boards fall off the end of one belt, e.g. via baffles, onto the next lower belt. The belts travel in alternate directions in the stack, and each has a trough for catching the etchant or wash liq. The belts are pref. staggered, so the boards fall from the end of one belt onto the starting end of the next lower belt. The belts are pref. made of PVC reinforced with glass fibre and contg. holes which are small w.r.t. any projections on the boards. The belts are pref. located in one housing contg. nozzles for spraying both liqs. and compressed air in the respective zones. The washing zone can be located over the drying zone in a single casing for automatic treatment of the boards.</p> |
