In the production of mesh from longitudinal wires and cross-wires, two cross-wires are fed simultaneously into the transverse position above the mesh production plane by means of a transport device. From this transverse position, the two cross-wires fall through a respective chute (32, 50; 82) into a respective compartment (51a-51d) of a magazine (52). The magazine (52) is provided with a device (54) for the simultaneous release of the two cross-wires to a feed device (59) for transporting the cross-wires (T5, T4) in the direction of the longitudinal wires to the welding position underneath the electrodes (19) of a resistance welding machine for the series spot welding of the two cross-wires to the longitudinal wires. <IMAGE> |
