<p>An expansion joint between two panels (16, 17) embedded in a soft grouting materials, has a keyhole shaped groove (18, 19) along the edge of each panel into which is fitted a connecting strip (1). This strip has two circular section edge portions (2, 3) to fit into the circular parts of the slots, interconnected by a thin bridging piece (7). This piece is folded or corrugated so that there is no stress if the panels are moved apart. Inside each circular edge portion is a plunger tube (4, 5). The ends of the edge portions can be extended for fitting a tubular connection between them.</p> |
