<p>The side spreader for manure has a rotor horizontally supported in the fertilizer tank. A number of chains is fixed to the rotor, and hammers are fitted to the ends of the chains. The chains are loaded with heavier hammers towards the ends of the rotor than the chains in the middle of the rotor. The weight of the hammers is stopped, with the heaviest hammers at the ends of the rotor and the lightest hammers in the middle of the rotor. The hammers have holes through which extend the shanks of U-shaped components fitted to the chain ends and welded or rivetted to the hammer undersides.</p> |
