Original copy holder attached to typewriter - has line pointer and copy movement controlled by rotation of typewriter platen

A holder for the original copy from which a typist is copying is mounted at eyelevel above the platen (2) which has an endless conveyor band (1) passing around its lower circumference and the surface of the holder. The copy (17) is held in place on the band by clamps (18, 19) which can at will be slid along the band edge. A line pointer (16) is mounted by a magnet to the holder board edge (15). As the platen is advanced, the conveyor band and hence the copy clamped to it is advanced by the same amount. The paper being typed upon is guided by a channel (7) located below the line pointer so that it does not obscure the original copy.
