The servicing side of the programming device for electric appliances has a support of insulating material, which carries contact points connectable to the electric components of the appliance. The contact points are connectable in accordance to the functions to be carried out, as in 2610770. The contact points are arranged for mutual connection by simple conductor elements in such manner that the preset value is easily readable. Preferably the conductor elements can be secured to the support by plugging, clamping, glueing, etc, in cooperation with the contact points proper. Seven contact point pairs are mounted on the support in the form of a figure eight, forming seven displayed segments. The individual conductor elements may have the form of a short circuiting plug.
