The gas- or liquid-fired air heater unit is partic. for a space in which there is normally a vacuum, and comprises an oblong housing with inlet and outlet for air at opposite ends. A burner is mounted after the inlet and a motor-driven centrifugal fan before the outlet, the fan air intake being from both ends. Air guide baffles (9, 10) are arranged in a V-shape before the fan (6), so as to direct the heated air towards both ends of it. The line bisecting the angle between the baffles can intersect the fan axis at right angles, and the point where they touch can be at a distance from the fan axis between 40 and 70% of the centre distance between burner and fan.
|
