Toilet seat with foam padding - has reinforcement portions with encased foam cores and weight distributing system

The resilient synthetic resin toilet seat comprises a resilient premoulded reinforcement member having a foamed inner core which is enclosed in a non-foamed skin. A padded member is also provided which also has a foamed inner core in a tough yet resilient skin and protrudes in one piece from the upper and side faces of the reinforcement. The part of the skin of the padded member which lies above the skin part on the upper and side faces of the reinforcement member is one piece with the skin on the said upper and side faces whilst other parts of the padded member skin together with the other parts of the reinforcement skin form a one-piece full length outer skin for the seat. The outer peripheral surface of the seat is such that when stressed the cross-sectional area of the seat flattens out to distribute the load.
