1533628 Metallizing compositions for ceramics ENGELHARD MINERALS & CHEMICALS CORP 13 Sept 1976 [15 Sept 1975] 37804/76 HeadingC7F A decorating composition for producing a gold appearance on ceramics after firing comprises soluble metallo organic compounds of Pd and Ag in a weight ratio of Pd to Ag of 1:1 to 12:1, a soluble metallo organic flux compound and a vehicle. The total Pd + Ag content is preferably 1-12 wt. per cent and the flux is conventional compound of Bi, Cr, Pb, Cd, U, Sn, Cu, Co, Sb or Re. The preferred Ag and Pd compounds are neodecanoates, sulfonates, sulfo resinates, mercaptides, thio ethers, chetates and carboxylates. |
