The machine has a rotor wound for a high starting and running-up torque, with the winding consisting of a number of closed circuits, in each of which two individual coils (A, B) are connected in series and staggered w.r.t. each other by half a pole pitch. The staggering of coils (A, B) is between about a quarter and a half of the pole pitch. Owing to the inclination of rotor winding by the electrical angle between 90 deg. and 180 deg., each inclined individual coil itself represents an electric circuit, since both coil halves above and below the rotor central line can be identified as A and B coils operating in series. Thus any required circuit can be realised by corresponding inclination of rotor winding consisting of short-circuited coils cast as bar winding similar to squirrel cage winding.
|
