The central heating system regulator has a switching unit for the lowering of the temp. during specific hours of day and has a change-over switch. The switching unit (B) comprises switching elements (C, D) which respond to different regulating variables. One of the switching elements (C, D) is selectively switched on in the automatic control system by means of the change-over switch (3). One of the switching elements (C, D) responds to the room temp. of a test room and another responds to the outside temp. as regulating variables. Each switching element (C, D) comprises an adjusting device (4, 5) for the selective setting of the regulating variable. The switching units (A, B) are accommodated in a common housing (6).
